Unreal Tournament MAP design


In 8 weeks' time, I helped designing the game only after the initial development of 8 weeks before, which I did not join and only jumped in after. I wanted to try my hand at UI/UX design and researched into this, sketched out ideas and proposed this to our artist. I mainly focused on Level design after this, blocking out the last level of the game and scattering designer notes all over the place to give our artists an indication where stuff needs to go or what some blocks resemble- and which spaces they need to leave empty and/or barren.


I did focus mainly on level design- but being passionate with Narrative design, I also took it upon myself to write all the ingame text, the backstory and general narrative to make sense of the features. I also wrote the onboarding text, dialogue pop ups and whatnot.


Alongside it all, I was also a general game designer- designing features for our programmers and prototyping some within the engine.


I was an all-round designer for this project, with my main focus being on Level design mainly.
